This course is intended for anyone who has completed a Forest Kindergarten Course in Scotland and wishes to improve their CPD in fire skills

Join Julia Mackay and Douglas Gooday for this introduction to fire skills. This course will cover health & safety, safe siting & fire management, sustainability of resources and environmental impacts.

Objectives - by the end of the training session the learner will:

*Understand the basic principles of fire lighting
*Have a greater understanding of health & safety considerations including risk assessments
*Have a greater understanding of environmental impacts
*Have a great understanding of sustainable tinder & wood
*Have gained hands-on experience of fire lighting

The course will follow the OWL Scotland Fire Guidance.

Please note that due to limited spaces, a paid deposit (£22.38) is needed to book on to this course. If you attend the event, you will be issued with a refund minus the Eventbrite booking fee (this works out at less than £3). If you book a space and do not attend the cost of the ticket will not be refunded.
