An Introduction to Tree Identification with Rachel Avery

June 8 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Do you find it difficult to identify different tree species? It is often tricky to tell different leaves, bark and tree shapes. Rachel will guide you to find the confidence to do all of this!

This session for outdoor educators aims to increase your ID skills when it comes to common tree species found in the Highlands. We’ll also share lots of activity ideas for exploring our local trees with learners of all ages. You’ll leave with a wee self-made tree ID book to remember the common tree species.

Do bring contributions for an informal networking picnic lunch afterwards. Shelter will be provided if the forecast is very wet, but please wear the right clothes to be outside all morning.

Meet at the Anagach Woods carpark at the bottom of Forest Road, Grantown on Spey. On google maps here.

We’re keen to encourage lift sharing wherever possible. Please let us know when you book if you’d be interested in lift sharing and where you’ll be travelling from and we will help set that up.
