Winter Tracking

Tracking is an ancient skill that engages all our senses and helps to develop observation, memory, empathy and deduction abilities. Once we start to unravel a tracking mystery we find ourselves becoming aware of, and understanding more about, mammals, birds, trees, and many other aspects of the natural world. Tracking can show us that wildlife is active even in the depths of winter!

In this workshop you will learn how to identify a range of animal tracks and signs, and will also come away with some tracking games and activities for outdoor learning.
